Target's Toy Department Gets a New Look for Holidays
Target has reallocated space at nearly 500 of its 1,840-some U.S. stores to grow its toy department ahead of the holidays.
The retailer added 250,000 square feet of space for toys that will be "absolutely permanent," Target told CNBC, and allows the retailer to showcase products such as electric ride-on vehicles, playhouses and outdoor playsets.
Beyond reallocating space, Target also has "fully reimagined" the toy departments at more than 100 remodeled stores, which now have an updated toy presentation with a new layout and interactive play experiences, according to an Oct. 16 "A Bullseye View" post.
