Nordstrom bolstered its digital customer experience both in-store and online after acquiring two companies, BevyUp and MessageYes. BevyUp is an app that enables store staff to personalize a shopping experience for a customer who shares information with them over the tool, and they can build style boards and interact with recommendations. The tool also helps connect store associates in stores to talk with one another. MessageYes is a digital tool that provides mobile phone shoppers frictionless purchases through mobile messaging. The app leverages AI and customer feedback to recommend items and recipients can buy by replying “Yes” to a message. Nordstrom, working with shoppers who opt in, can suggest products, and shoppers can then buy over the messaging tool.
