IKEA YouTube Ads
IKEA created a series of three YouTube ads that mimic a quirky and colorful game show called “Matchers Keepers” that tests the furniture compatibility between two flatmates using the retailer’s new AR-enabled mobile app. The ads have a game show host put the mock contestants through challenges all the while highlighting the usability of IKEA’s Place app and its ability to overlay AR images of furniture within a room. The IKEA Place app debuted last year along with the launch of the latest iPhone and ARKit software. Along with the YouTube spot, the app rolled out to Android phones in March.
