By Cyndi Loza - 07/09/2018

The Home Depot’s vice president of marketing & online technology, Naveen Krishna, has left the company.

Krishna departed in June, according to a Home Depot spokesperson, to take up the post of chief technology officer at Macy’s. A search for his successor is ongoing.

“I’m thrilled to have ...  Krishna join the Macy’s team as we enhance our focus on technology,” said Hal Lawton, president of Macy’s, in a media release. “We are investing in technology to improve digital and mobile experiences, site stability, store technology and fulfillment and logistics improvements. Naveen’s track record in omnichannel retail makes him the perfect fit to lead the Macy’s Technology organization at this critical time.”

Krishna led the development efforts for The Home Depot's marketing and online technology, including homedepot.com and the retailer’s mobile application, as well as customer care technology, according to the Home Depot spokesperson. He first joined Home Depot in 2010 as senior director of information technology.

Prior to joining Home Depot, Krishna was a director at Target with overall accountability for target.com technology and operations, according to the release. He also spent 13 years in leadership roles at FedEx Kinko’s and Deloitte Consulting.
