Foot Locker AR-Powered Scavenger Hunt

Foot Locker leveraged AR in its mobile app to run a scavenger hunt around the start of the NBA season that rewards shoppers with a first chance at exclusive buys. In honor of the Los Angeles Lakers’ home opener and LeBron James’ debut with the team, consumers who completed the AR-powered scavenger hunt unlocked the chance to buy the LeBron 16 King “Court Purple” shoe. The game is being called “The Hunt” and will continue throughout the season. The game has users unlock geo-targeted, AR clues within the app that ultimately lead them to being able to buy a specialty pair of shoes. Agency Firstborn, New York, created the game for the footwear retailer.
