Dunkin' Donuts Social Campaign
Having fun with the darkest day of the year, Dunkin’ Donuts ran a social campaign called #DunkinDarker on Dec. 21, day of the winter solstice, that included the brand’s first animated Snapchat filter, which created a wintry night scene. Posts on Twitter and Facebook included a darker brand logo and recipes centered on its dark roast coffee – fox example, a parfait or a “Black Russian” drink. Facebook and Instagram also hosted a morning livestream event in New York City to tout Dunkin’ Donuts’ dark roast and ways to celebrate the darkest day with Dunkin’. In Massachusetts, Dunkin’ Donuts teamed with Wormtown Brewery to launch the first beer brewed with Dunkin’s dark roast beans. It was called DDark Roasted Brew and available for purchase starting on Dec. 21.
